Just a word of caution before you jump into one of these low cost solutions, if you’re going to be using one of these jackets or vests for work related projects then you will need to check with the local laws and compliance requirements.  A hi vis jacket or vest comes in different colors and classifications, as such if you’re going to be working in the field then make sure you take your safety seriously.

Most companies today will provide the needed safety equipment and gear to perform the job duties you are tasked with, but if you are going to be out and about doing casual things then you may need nothing more than what one of these hi vis jacket solutions provide.

As a general rule of thumb, if you’re going to be working under more dangerous conditions or in more hazardous environments then you will need a higher level of visibility to scale with the job site.  Added features like retro reflective strips help ensure you are visible and not invisible, by reflecting light from vehicle headlights, street lights and other sources of light in the area.
